Dancer, Performer, Teacher

About

After completing her dance studies with distinction from the Conservatoire Gabriel Pierné and the Jeune Ballet d’Aquitaine, Mathilde worked as a dancer and performer alongside renowned choreographers such as Laura Arend, Miguel G.Font, Pascal Touzeau, to name a few. Since relocating to Berlin in 2019, she has collaborated with a variety of artists and companies, including Jessica Gaynor, Eva Papadopoulos, Jara Serrano, Golde Grunske (G.G Tanzkompanie), Marie Chouinard (Biennale di Venezia), Opay Goldberg (The Zooz approach), The Lab of Intelligence Culture.

Her creative process is rooted in experimentation, where she questions the boundaries between the abstract and the concrete, connecting a physical expression to a reflexive state. In her research, she investigates how movement can embody complex ideas, crafting a unique language of physicality that resonates on both personal and universal levels.

Alongside her performance work, she has developed expertise in Pilates, Yoga, Floor Barre, and Barre training. This integration of disciplined training with her artistic exploration enables her to approach each project with a well-rounded perspective, merging technical skill with a deep understanding of the body’s expressive potential.

Her commitment to her craft, continuous learning, and the search for new insights into movement make her approach both rigorous and innovative. This dedication to process and research gives her work its unique artistic voice.

As she began developing her own work, Mathilde focused on methods to unlock the body’s full expressive range, delving into the power of movement. Over time, she realized that while technical mastery provides control and fluidity, the true depth of expression emerges from the essence of the body itself. She sees the body as a vessel of raw, authentic communication.

In her approach, she aims to peel back layers of technicality to reach the core of physicality, where movement arises naturally.

This perspective shapes her work, as she views dance not merely as a practiced form but as a way of being and seeing—a lens through which she continually explores, questions, and reshapes her understanding of human expression.
